After a breakout spring tour as direct support for Teddy Swims’ North American arena tour Diamond Cafe drops Fantasy Real: La Nuit Revue. This is a special edition of his recently released EP Fantasy Real that features a Dom Dias remix along with the original demo recorded after his sold-out Paris show last year at the iconic venue New Morning. Tonight, he returns to Les Etoiles in Paris for a performance during Fashion Week, deepening his ties to the city, before his upcoming performances at Calgary Stampede and the Philips Backyard Music Festival in Victoria, BC.
On releasing this addition of the EP, Diamond says:
“In November of last year, I came back to my hotel after my show at the legendary New Morning and recorded the demo for what would become Fantasy Real. I played the demo over and over while sitting on the balcony, watching the Paris sky go from night to morning. It was a very spiritual feeling. My first time in Paris just felt like home… like I had been there before. Fantasy Real is how Paris felt to me at that moment. I wanted to make sure y’all got a chance to hear it the way I heard it that night. Also, as I get ready for my next show at Les Etoiles during Fashion Week.. I figured I’d reach out to my brother Dom Dias to give me something for the afters. This is La Nuit Revue.”
Diamond made a huge impression on the road with Teddy Swims, gaining new fans with every show. The two singers built a strong bond while on the road, with Teddy bringing him on stage to have the audience sing happy birthday to him and they wrapped up the tour by giving each other tattoos.
